Zinging Zynga
There’s a lot of singing happening at Zynga headquarters currently. And it reminded me of after I changed into fresh out of university and got involved in a cutthroat Scrabble® Club. (My wife and youngsters still ridicule me for being a nerd). Decades later, I was excited to join Zynga’s “Words With Friends” game – essentially a web version of Scrabble®.
I admit that I got hooked all over again. (In February, I played with pals in San Francisco, Colorado, and my native land of Charleston while on Safari in Africa).
Which brings me, albeit long-winded, to the cutting-edge topic: What happens when your enterprise has vulnerable business muscle mass? What takes place when a quick increase in agency does not have a Strong Business Core and gets wounded? Can it acquire itself and get better off the mat and answer the bell for the second spherical? What is in the shop for an organization when its center is out of whack with its business version?
A harsh reality of markets is that organizations simply have a positive life span. And they’re usually measured in single digits, not a long time. Very few organizations can ‘get off the mat’ and get to a 2nd spherical if they have taken too many body blows.
