Basic capabilities
On the front of your Mac mini is a slot-loading optical drive. The integrated infrared (IR) receiver lies in the slot’s proper, and the strength indicator light is at the lowest right-hand corner.

AirPort Extreme wireless technology and Bluetooth® wi-fi era are interiors of your Mac mini.
Power adaptor
Strip away the plastic film from your Mac mini and the power adaptor. Place the Mac mini on a company surface right face up or on its side, and close to an electrical outlet. Your display, keyboard, and mouse also have to be close at hand.
Connect the electrical cord to the power adaptor. Put the plug at the quiet of the power adaptor’s lead into the Mac mini’s power port. Plug the strength wire into the electrical outletPlease observe: never area anything in your Mac mini. Objects for your Mac mini may also disrupt the optical power, the AirPort Extreme wireless signal, and the Bluetooth® signal.
Peripheral set-up
Your Mac mini is BYODKM – bring your show, keyboard, and mouse. Use the ones you already have (nearly any are appropriate).
Keyboard and mouse
Connect your keyboard to a USB port on the return of the Mac mini. Connect your mouse to a USB port on the keyboard or at the Mac mini.
Windows-based keyboards may not have unique Mac OS X Command and Option keys. However, the Windows emblem key is equivalent to the Mac OS X Command key, and the Alt keys are equivalent to the Mac OS X Option key.
To alter the keyboard, click Apple,>System Preferences

Please note: while you use a USB keyboard and mouse made by a corporation other than Apple, you may need software drivers. If you do not already have these, go to the producer’s website and download them.

Monitor
Use your Mac mini’s DVI video out port to attach a display. If you’ve got a VGA display, join it to the Mac mini with the supplied DVI to VGA adaptor.
Please notice; your Mac mini supports digital resolutions up to at least one,920 x 1, two hundred pixels. In this manner, you may connect a 20 inch Apple Cinema Display or a 23 inch Apple Cinema HD Display.
